For individual challenges the number of contestants is multiplied by 0.5 and another 0.5 points are added. The winner gets all the points. The losers divide the points lost. If there are multiple winners (team reward challenges) then winners and losers split. The first challenge had 11 people meaning 6 points were at stake.
